People kept asking me, "Ma'am, do you believe in love-at-first-sight ?"

---

I'm not really a fan of "love at first sight".

Whenever someone says, "I fell in love with her at first sight", I feel sorry for that person. Actually, honestly speaking, I feel sorry for both of them.

When someone "falls in love" at first sight, that initially means that you have fallen in love with that person's physical appearance and the impression that she had left on you the very first time that you've met. That's the problem right there, that imposes that you have this idea of what she is like, what her personality is and what she will do in certain situations; you already created your own image of her before you even really know her. The down side to this is when you do get to know her, and she then prove that she is the opposite or just “below” the passing line of what you expected her to be, the person who have fallen in love will then be disappointed, there’s no doubt about it. There are instances that the person who have fallen in love will fall more in love because the person that they have fallen in love with was more amazing than what they have expected. But, let us all not be hypocrites, not all people can beat the expectations of the people around them. I, for example, have disappointed a lot of people, and will surely unintentionally disappoint a number of people in the years to come.

Not all people can live up to the expectations of others, and just because someone says, “love conquers all” doesn't mean that you can literally conquer the expectations of those around you.

YES PEOPLE! I AM NOT A BELIEVER!!
